"Fab workshop learning to enamel with Lesley. Friendly, fun and a lovely atmosphere in which to get creative. Lesley shared her knowledge and expertise in an easy to follow way and guided us through the process step by step, I left with some beautiful pendants I’m really proud of and lots of inspiration. Thank you - I’ll definitely be back for more"

Transparent enamels and recycled silver

Book:

6 October

You will be melting down some scrap pieces of fine silver into an unpredictable shape and then reforming it to make a pendant or perhaps a pair of earrings. Then you’ll add some colour with transparent enamels and create a finished piece of jewellery.

Previous attendees liked the range of colour options - in fact they found they were a bit spoilt for choice - but they all achieved fantastic results

This is a good follow-on session for those who have attended Have a go at Enamelling, but is also suitable for beginners.

Felt and copper garland making

Book:

27 October

Make a garland from gorgeous felt and reclaimed copper

A fun workshop, with lots of hammering (so it may be noisy!). Make your own copper buttons and combine them with colourful felt hearts or stars and copper wire to make a garland to take home.

No previous experience of metalworking or jewellery making is required. Previous participants loved making their own buttons and went away planning to try they same techniques with other materials

Jewellery from reclaimed copper

Book:

10 November

This workshop will show you how old pieces of copper can be turned into beautiful new pieces of jewellery.

You will use traditional metalworking tools and techniques to turn copper reclaimed from electrical cable and heating pipes into a bracelet and a pendant or a pair of earrings. You will learn how to soften and shape wire, texture metal sheet and use a piercing saw to cut out shapes. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and the price includes all the materials you will need to complete two pieces of jewellery to take home with you at the end of the workshop.

Copper wire wreath making

Book:

17 November

Make a stunning wreath from reclaimed copper wire

Using copper wire, reclaimed from electrical cable, you will create a wreath which you can choose to leave as a shiny copper finish, or heat patinate to give it a unique and unpredictable colour. You also have the option to create a felt and copper centre piece or take the wreath home to embellish as you wish.

Ideal for making Christmas decorations although you will probably want to keep this one up all year round!
